If you decide to romance Josephine, Leliana will pull you aside and ask for your real intentions. She obviously has people watch over Josephine and offers to send her people to retrieve the assassination contract. "It's not a real party until someone's smallcloths end up pinned to the chantry board" - about the first time Leliana and Josephine met.
